Why Meymand special tour in spring

We organize this one and half day tour to Meymand only from mid-April to around 10th of May when the spring seasonal rhubarb plants grow and produces large leaves with plenty of red flowers. Then, the entire plain looks different with a special pretty red view which is very rare at least in Iran.

The tour starts in Kerman. The route is Rafsanjan, Sarcheshmeh, Khatunabad, Meymand, Shahr-e-Babak and finally the Rhubarb plain, a total 260 kilometer distance coverage to reach the destination.

Two cement factories, an old desert caravanserai, colorful hills, large famous copper mine and copper industries of Sarcheshmeh, copper factory of Khatunabad, Khatunabad village and Shahr-e-Babak city are the nice places the tour passes by.

After visiting Dasht-e-Rivas, Meymand is the destination to visit and stay for the night.

Day 1

morning: Dasht-e-Rivas (rhubarb plain), lunch in Shahr-e-Babak city

afternoon: Maymand, dinner, cave night lodging

Day2

morning: breakfast, exploring different caves, back to Kerman

Those whose next destination is Yazd after Kerman can continue from Maymand to Yazd and save their time and energy by not returning to Kerman.
