Fathabad Garden

There, 16 km North West of Kerman, lies a spectacular garden near Ekhtiarabad village which is called Fathabad Garden. According to historians, this pattern has been used in  construction of Shazdeh Garden in Mahan which is a world heritage toady.

The start of the garden dates back to around the year 1255 (Hijri-Shamsi) or 1876 AD, in Qajar era. Fathabad is a memorial garden for  “Fazl Ali Khan Biglarbeygi”  who was the ruler of Kerman. That is why it is also called Biglarbeygi Garden. Fathabad Qanat water passed through fathabad Garden in the past, and it was so refreshing and lovely.

Fathabad Garden with its old and valuable history, for a long time was abandoned and damaged and most of the trees dried up. Todya, the railroad passes by the garden and planes taking of also pass over this beautiful landscape.

   

By effeorts of “ Kerman Moghoofat Foundation and development “ under the auspices of the cultural heritage, restoration and reconstruction of the garden began in 2011.

 

The garden is now a Tourisim Destination and all tourists are welcomed to visit this garden.
